Specialized Therapy Associates (STA) has been in operation since 1994. Each year it has grown by adding staff with additional skills and specialties to meet the needs of its clientele. STA is a special place that believes you deserve special attention.
STA provides the full range of psychological services. We are staffed with psychologists in the areas of clinical and school psychology. We maintain a multidisciplinary approach with a staff of clinical social workers, psychiatrists and other healthcare specialists.
Specialized Therapy Associates (STA) is a group of diverse, experienced and specialized staff of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals formed under Dr. Vanessa Gourdine. This highly skilled and specialized staff is continuously trained on the most recent research and developments in the field which makes STA’s treatment services cutting-edge.
STA practices the team approach. Each professional on staff brings to the team a set of specialized training and skills that allows for the full integration of care. We can utilize the team approach to provide individual, group, family and couples treatment under one roof as well as provide the specialist that you may require for optimal care. If your family has complex problems involving the children, the spouse, substance abuse or health issues, we can bring together the best professionals on staff to fit your needs and provide all facets of your care. If you require medication and therapy, you can receive the services in a coordinated fashion at one facility where your providers work together.
STA also provides a number of other program services, including Addictions Programs, Adolescent Programs, Child Services, Disease Management, Employee Assistance Services, Executive Coaching, Forensic Services, Corporate and Divorce Mediation Services, and School Intervention and School Based Services, as well as Special Groups and Workshops such as Social Skills Groups for Girls and Boys, Relationship Enhancement, Assertiveness Skills, Health / Wellness, Chronic Disease, Parenting Skills, Resilience Program, Women's Issue Group, and Relationship Building Group Therapy.
