About Tara Roggensinger
I am Tara Roggensinger. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New York and New Jersey. I obtained my masters in Social Work at New York University and my Bachelor's in Psychology at SUNY Purchase. I work with all populations from young children struggling with emotional and behavioral limitations to preteens, adolescents, adults, and families. I am a Trauma-Focused therapist specialized in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also use a variety of other treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies utilizing art and music, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Treatment. I have a range of experience, including providing individual, group, and family treatment to children and adolescents who have a history of complex trauma, developmental disabilities, and emotional and behavioral limitations in the hospital, outpatient, and Residential Treatment Center settings. My special interest populations include working with all populations who have a history of acute, chronic and complex trauma as well as those who are struggling with obsessive thoughts and anxious symptoms utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. Treatment is provided utilizing a strengths based approach emphasizing the importance of self-care and self-compassion.
